On July 16, 2016, Dr. Doring and Dr. Tilkin have been awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Receiving this prestigious award requires first becoming a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and taking a minimum of 1100 hours of continuing education, 400 of which must be participation courses divided among each discipline in dentistry. These courses are under the tutelage of many of the top clinicians in the country. As of this date, less than 3,300 dentists have been awarded a Mastership. This is the highest award offered by the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Tilkin completed an extensive training program in Dental Sleep Medicine to help his patients suffering from Snoring and Sleep Apnea and In 2019, Dr. Tilkin became a Diplomate with the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Perez-West has recently been accepted into the American Society of Implant & Reconstructive Dentistry (ASIRD). This organization promotes close collaboration between the oral surgeon and the restorative dentist to provide highly coordinated optimal treatment for their patients.
Once again in 2019, Dr. Doring, Dr. Perez-West, and Dr. Tilkin have all been honored by being selected, by their peers, as three of the best general dentists in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Did you know that we now have the Itero digital impression system to create precision records for our patients? This can be used for crowns, implants, bite guards and even Invisalign orthodontics. All of our doctors have also been certified to use the Picasso diode laser to enhance patient comfort.
